Comprehensive information on desirable clumping species of bamboo for planting in Central Florida and South Florida includes a species list and images. President Robert Saporito asys, "There are more than 1500 different species of bamboo. The tropical, clumping bamboo species make up at least half of the 1500 species. In South Florida, tropical clumping bamboos are grown. Many of the sub-tropical clumping bamboos can be grown throughout the State of Florida."
